Example
A 22-player club has £17,000 of operating costs. An 8% reserve adds £1,360. After £4,500 of sponsorship and fundraising, players must fund £13,860.
£13,860 ÷ 22 = £630 per player, or £63 monthly over ten months.
Limits
Common questions
Add all season costs and the contingency. Subtract confirmed sponsorship, grants and fundraising. Divide the remaining amount by the number of paying players.
Yes. A contingency can cover postponed matches, replacement equipment, higher facility costs and missed payments.
Cash sponsorship can reduce player fees. If a sponsor provides kit or facilities, reduce that cost instead of counting the support as cash.
